Responsibilities:

Customer Service:

  1. Greet customers with a warm and friendly demeanor, providing prompt and attentive service.
  2. Listen carefully to customer orders, answer questions, and make suggestions as needed.
  3. Maintain a clean and welcoming environment, ensuring that tables, chairs, and countertops are kept tidy.

Beverage Preparation:

  1. Prepare coffee, tea, and other beverages according to company standards, ensuring consistency in taste and presentation.
  2. Follow proper brewing techniques and maintain knowledge of current coffee offerings and seasonal specials.
  3. Clean and maintain coffee equipment, ensuring it is in good working order.

Cashiering:

  1. Accurately process customer orders and payments, using the point-of-sale system.
  2. Handle cash transactions, give correct change, and balance the cash register at the beginning and end of each shift.
  3. Maintain an organized and clean workspace around the register.

Inventory and Stocking:

  1. Assist in maintaining adequate inventory levels of coffee beans, syrups, milk, and other supplies.
  2. Restock shelves, condiment stations, and display cases as needed.
  3. Inform management of low inventory or supply issues in a timely manner.

Teamwork:

  1. Work collaboratively with fellow team members to ensure smooth operations and a positive customer experience.
  2. Support other staff members in their tasks, providing assistance as needed.
  3. Participate in team meetings and training sessions to stay updated on company policies and procedures.

Health and Safety Compliance:

  1. Adhere to local health and safety regulations, maintaining a clean and safe work environment for staff and customers.
  2. Follow proper food handling and sanitation procedures.


Qualifications:

  1. Prior experience as a barista or in a similar customer service role is preferred, but not required.
  2. Basic knowledge of coffee and brewing techniques is a plus.
  3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  4. Ability to work well in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  5. Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask.
  6. Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up heavy stocks.
  7. Availability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
