We are seeking a friendly, energetic, and customer-focused Store Crew/Barista & Cashier to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, preparing high-quality beverages, and performing cashier duties at our cafe. Responsibilities:
Customer Service:
- Greet customers with a warm and friendly demeanor, providing prompt and attentive service.
- Listen carefully to customer orders, answer questions, and make suggestions as needed.
- Maintain a clean and welcoming environment, ensuring that tables, chairs, and countertops are kept tidy.
Beverage Preparation:
- Prepare coffee, tea, and other beverages according to company standards, ensuring consistency in taste and presentation.
- Follow proper brewing techniques and maintain knowledge of current coffee offerings and seasonal specials.
- Clean and maintain coffee equipment, ensuring it is in good working order.
Cashiering:
- Accurately process customer orders and payments, using the point-of-sale system.
- Handle cash transactions, give correct change, and balance the cash register at the beginning and end of each shift.
- Maintain an organized and clean workspace around the register.
Inventory and Stocking:
- Assist in maintaining adequate inventory levels of coffee beans, syrups, milk, and other supplies.
- Restock shelves, condiment stations, and display cases as needed.
- Inform management of low inventory or supply issues in a timely manner.
Teamwork:
- Work collaboratively with fellow team members to ensure smooth operations and a positive customer experience.
- Support other staff members in their tasks, providing assistance as needed.
- Participate in team meetings and training sessions to stay updated on company policies and procedures.
Health and Safety Compliance:
- Adhere to local health and safety regulations, maintaining a clean and safe work environment for staff and customers.
- Follow proper food handling and sanitation procedures.
Qualifications:
- Prior experience as a barista or in a similar customer service role is preferred, but not required.
- Basic knowledge of coffee and brewing techniques is a plus.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up heavy stocks.
- Availability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
